Terms and Conditions

  1. General
    1. The terms and conditions below apply to all purchases made by you (the purchaser) from us (KĀKĀPŌ DISTILLERY LIMITED). 
    2. We may change our terms and conditions without notice, these will apply to any purchases made after the change is posted to our website. 
  2. Interpretation
    1. The following terms hold the meaning specified below:

“agreement” means these terms and conditions and any other terms incorporated into it by reference. 

“products” means any and all products available for purchase on our website. 

“website” means any pages accessible through the Kakapodistillery.co.nz domain name. 

  1. Shipping
    1. Product prices do not include shipping. This will be separately notified to you at the time you finalise your order and will be added to the final price. 
    2. Mistakes in price as a result of computer error which are identified prior to delivery will entitle us to claim the difference between the mistake price and the correct price. In the event that you do not wish to pay the difference we will cancel the order and refund the sum paid. At our complete discretion we may waive the difference and fulfil the order. 
  2. Stock
    1. Our products are sold subject to their availability. In the event we are unable to supply products listed on our site you will be entitled to amend your order or request a full refund. 
    2. We will not be liable for any inability to provide you with product should it not be available, except insofar as you are entitled to a refund as specified at 4.a.
  3. Shipping
    1. Subject to any extenuating circumstances we will dispatch orders no later than 3 working days after the day the order is received by us and payment is confirmed.
    2. In the event we fail to deliver a product, you are entitled to cancel the part of your order we did not fulfil and receive a refund. 
    3. If we fail to deliver a product or delivery of a product is delayed, causing loss to you, and the failure to deliver is within our control, our liability is limited to the price of the item purchased.  
    4. Delivery is complete when the product reaches the address you have specified for delivery at the time of order. If a product arrives damaged you must notify us within 3 working days of its arrival. 
  4. Payment
    1. Payment is to be made in full by cash, credit or debit card at the time of order unless a credit arrangement is negotiated in advance. 
    2. If payment is made by credit card you agree to indemnify us for any loss caused by the default of your credit card company. 
  5. Jurisdiction
    1. This website is for use only by those in New Zealand. 
    2. We will not ship internationally. 
    3. This agreement is governed by the laws of New Zealand and any action arising out of it is to be taken in a Court in New Zealand. 

Returns and Refunds

Overview

 

 

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

 

 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

 

 

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

 

 

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

 

 

Refunds

 

 

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

 

 

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

 


Late or missing refunds

 

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

 

 

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

 

 

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

 

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

 

 

Exchanges

 

 

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at hello@kakapodistillery.co.nz and we will help you from there.

 

 

Shipping returns

 

 

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 36 The Crescent Tindalls beach, Whangaparaoa, Auckland, 0930.

 

 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

 

 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

 

 

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
